Daughter learns of new blog and wants in on the action
Because I am the best single dad in the world, I am always looking for ways to engage with
my seven-year-old daughter, Charlotte. So, when she learned of my new blog and wanted to be a part of it, I needed to find a way to make it happen.
I Googled "how to incorporate your daughter into your blog" and that sent me down a long page of links that led nowhere. Bummer.
I thought about it for a few days and then remembered Bill Cosby's old show, Kids Say the Darndest Things, where he'd ask little ones to ponder some of life's biggest questions for laughs. Mmmmm, I had an idea.
Back to the Google Machine. "Things to ask a seven-year-old" eventually turned up a link to a Scholastic (the book company) post called "9 Cool Questions to Ask Your Kid." Bingo!
Charlotte wants to start her own YouTube Channel so I figured I could video her answers to these cool questions and that would be good practice for her channel.
The Plan (yes, I love Nathan Fielder): Combine my strikingly average video making skills with Charlotte's cuteness and Scholastic's questions for a blog post entry like no other.
